CASA Grande Winter Chain -
March 9-14
Temps in
the 70's light winds in the morning from the East deminishing by afternoon
greet Arizona Winter Chain shooters at Casa Grande today-March 12. Don
Ackerson led North Dakota Singles shooters with a 98, Leonard Raddohl
wins Class C with a 95, Gerald Wendel wins vets with a 97 and ties Orrin
Johnson and two or three others for Vets handicap with a 95.
Orrin
Johnson leaves for Colorado tomorrow. Word is Bill Suda was in Grand
Forks this morning. Many North Dakota Shooters left after the Spring
Grand. Most of those here now though plan to leave after the Arizona
State Shoot in Tucson the end or March with some staying a bit longer
going home via the Southwestern Grand in San Antonio. The weather in Casa
Grande should be very favorable for shooting Saturday's and Sunday's
championship targets. This was my last Casa Grande visit for the
season. I'll be shooting the next Winter Chain Shoot at Ben Avery next
week. |

skeet field and I believe a five stand facility on the
grounds. |

Maida my Lab was
13 today. |

Maida turned 13
today-looks pretty good for 13 doesn't she? Looks can be
deceiving; however, just don't know how long she will keep
going...would like one more hunting season, but that might
be asking too much. |

American Gerald Moro, Washington, Al Connerly, Idaho,
and Ken Stevens, Oregon on Deck. Gerald says he's shooting
isn't what he would like, but he did break a 100 in the
Singles at Ben Avery last week. Gerald has shot the ND State
Shoot a number of times over the years while on his way to
Iowa, the Central Zone and the Grand. |
